Cadillac was founded in in 1902. It has a rich & long history producing ICE vehicles. It wasn't until recently, that it decided to try out an electric vehicle. The Cadillac Lyriq will be its first EV, and will debut August 6, 2020. It is expected to come to market in 2022.
Cadillac doesn't have any electric vehicles on the road yet. They're planning on coming to market with the Lyriq in 2022. You can watch the reveal yourself on August 6, 2020.
There is conjecture how much range the Lyriq will have. Estimates range from 200-350 miles currently. General Motors is anticipated to release a new technology with the Lyriq, named Ultium. The scalable technology will allow the automaker to produce batteries that can range in size from 50 kWh to 200 kWh.
The new Cadillac Lyriq is expected to have a price tag of $75,000-$90,000 (fully loaded). We will find out forsure on August 6, 2020.
As it stands today, we know the Lyriq is set to come to market in 2022. As for other vehicles, nothing else has been announced by the manufacturer at this time.
