Founded in August of 2007, Lucid still hasn't put a car on the road, but it has been around for a while. Starting Spring 2021, Lucid plans on delivering its first units to customers. Lucid has had an up and down past, from getting into tiffs with Elon Musk to having the old CEO of Tesla now running Lucid. Lucid claims to be the better version of Tesla. But without any consumer reviews out there, the sentiment is unverified. What we do know is that Lucid's Air model touts some pretty impressive metrics, giving Tesla's model S a run for its money.
Lucid currently is working on producing the Lucid Air, its debut model into the automotive market. This model will be available in Spring of 2021. An SUV is planned for 2023.
